Introducing the Scoopy For the Future: Buy Back Program. We are living in a world where we as a small business can make decisions that aim to help protect the world. Since the world was hit by the coronavirus, the use of single use plastics and packing materials has exploded due to many businesses moving to provide takeaway.
We have made decisions out of necessity and survival but now want to take a step in the right direction in terms of the impact and footprint we have on the environment.
Whilst all of our packaging is 100% recyclable, you cannot put the Scoopy bingsu containers into your recycling bin at home and unfortunately many end up in general waste and tips. You can recycle the small plastic containers as they are considered a 'hard plastic' and are able to be recycled at home.
The Scoopy For the Future: Buy Back Program aims to reward our customers who want to do right by the world and recycle. Our simple system requires you to clean and return the Scoopy bingsu containers back to our store. Once returned, we will collect and process the containers with our elected recycling centre. It is of no charge to you and in fact, we want to say thanks to our customers who participate in the program.
After you return your bingsu containers to our store, we will gift you a discount code that you can use for your next order either when you dine-in or takeaway. We want to make this process as easy as possible and give you an incentive to help us do the right thing for the future.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Meed
Scoopy Feeds Victoria
The Scoopy Feeds Victoria Initiative was created to give back to our wonderful community and is part of our plan to do better for our world. The squad here at Scoopy Milk Bar will be raising funds throughout all of November to support FareShare Australia, a non-for-profit organisation that works hard everyday to feed Victorians facing our food crisis.
We have been very fortunate as a small business to keep our Bingsu machines running through such trying times and was inspired by everyone's overwhelming support. All your love, care and encouragement was what started the formation of the #ScoopyFeedsVic initiative.
As we know, the current COVID19 pandemic has not made life very easy for our world. In addition with the food crisis in Victoria, many Victorians are facing struggles in trying to overcome their hardships.
We here at Scoopy want to do anything we can to help raise funds for Fareshare Australia, to help ALL Australians and to give back to you, our awesome customers. We thank you for all your love and support so far, and hope you all will continue to stand by us and our cause!
